Tablet segment today is quite crowded. And the most dominating in the market, of course, is Android tablets and the iPad. Meanwhile Windows-based tablets are still far less than the two devices.
And in this segment as well, two large companies become rulers, namely Apple and Samsung. As a result, other companies also chose to resign from this segment. A report from Digitimes reveals that two manufacturers of Android tablets, the HTC and Motorola chose to budge. In addition, according to the report, the BlackBerry also retreated from the tablet segment.
Setbacks are three manufacturers of these tablets because of high competition, especially in the low end tablet segment. Companies like Samsung, Acer, Asus and Lenovo to flood the tablet segment with price less than 200 USD. Moreover, Samsung has just announced that they will be more focused on the tablet market.
Judging from the activity in the tablet market, these three companies is long enough not issue a new device. So it is not surprising that they chose to get out of this segment. On the other hand, HTC and BlackBerry is currently undertaking an effort to rise from the collapsed position.
